Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR)
Indefinite leave to remain (ILR) allow individuals to remain in the UK permanently without any further restrictions attached to their residency. Once the individual has remained in the UK for at least five years uninterrupted an application for ILR is permitted. ILR provides the right to live, work and study in the UK.
Once ILR has been granted it cannot be taken away. Unless the individual has committed a criminal offence, the holder remains outside the UK for over two years and finally if ILR is obtained by deception or withholding of important information from the authorities.
The UK government has made it rather difficult for migrants to obtain ILR and as Advantage Solicitors we are here to make your application as hassle free as possible. Contact our experienced team of immigration lawyers who have a high track record of success. You can be confident that your application will be managed with the utmost care and professionalism.
Who can apply for ILR
If you hold a current work visa, dependents visa family visa or a long term resident of the UK you will be eligible to apply for ILR.
